Hops Poker is a drinking game for 3 to 8 people

Contents: 64 number cards marked with values from 1-8

Number of players: 3-8

Preparation: Each player needs a drink, ideally beer.

Because it may be necessary to drink fairly frequently during this drinking game, we do not recommend selecting spirits. And it is of course also possible to play the game alcohol-free ...

Aim of the game: The aim is to get rid of all the cards in your hand as quickly as possible. The last player with cards in their hand loses that round of the game.

How to play:

• First shuffle all the cards well and deal eight cards to each player. Set the remaining cards to one side.

• The thirstiest player goes first. He or she can either play a single card or multiples (more than one card with the same number).

• It is now the turn of the other players in a clockwise direction and they can either trump the cards on the table or take a drink. If a player is unable to trump the card(s) in play, they must pass by taking a drink. If multiples are played, the same number of higher cards must be played every time. For example, if three 5s are on the table, the next player is only able to play three 6s, three 7s or three 8s. (The player is not allowed to lay down four 6s, or two 6s and one 7 for example.)

• As soon as a player passes or plays one or more 8s, the next player can start again from the beginning and play a new card (or multiples), which the other players are then required to trump again. This player is therefore able to once again specify how many cards must be played.

End of the game:

• The last player to hold one or more cards in their hand has lost the game and must take another drink.

• The cards are then shuffled together with the remaining cards.

• The loser of the last round starts the next game.
